Canestrato di capra dei Basilischi is among the oldest cheeses in the Italian cheese-making tradition: its name derives from the typical reed baskets in which milk was processed in the 4th century BC.

This mature cheese is made from raw whole goat's milk. We recommend pairing it with full-bodied white wines with a dry, harmonious flavour.
